Permanent Makeup
General
Permanent makeup (PMU) is the ultimate solution for you who want to enhance your natural features, correct asymmetry and save valuable time in everyday life. Using gentle, certified pigments, a long-lasting and sophisticated result is created that resembles perfectly applied everyday makeup.
Yes, it is completely safe. In my clinic in Esbjerg, only advanced machine technologies, sterile single-use needles and approved, safe pigments are used. For your maximum comfort, an effective local anaesthetic cream is always applied before and during the treatment, which significantly minimises any pain.
Our most important recommendations are about precise preparation and aftercare. To achieve a perfect result, we always recommend:
- Avoiding alcohol, caffeine and painkillers 24 hours before your appointment.
- Following all aftercare rules (keeping the brows dry, avoiding makeup, sauna and sun during the healing period).
- Remembering your touch-up after 6–8 weeks, as the final and long-lasting result is only secured here.
Powder Brows
Powder Brows are a modern permanent makeup technique that creates a soft shading effect resembling a light fill with a brow pencil. The result looks maximally natural and airy. The treatment takes 120 minutes.
Yes, absolutely. Guaranteed and optimal results are only achieved after a touch-up. During the first healing process, it is completely normal for some of the pigment to fade – this is a completely normal reaction from the skin.
If you have an old tattoo or PMU on your brows (even if it is very light), you must send me a clear photo before booking. I need to assess whether it is possible to cover it nicely.
You cannot receive the treatment if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, have epilepsy, have taken vitamin A or tetracycline within the last 6 months, have active herpes, eczema/psoriasis in the brow area, or are prone to keloid scarring. In addition, you should avoid blood-thinning medication 2 days before (TREO is fine, however).
Healing takes about 1 week. Gently clean the brows with Chlorhexidine 0.05% and apply a thin layer of special cream/Vaseline twice daily for the first 4 days. Avoid makeup, soap, as well as swimming pool, sauna, sun and hard sports for up to 7–10 days. Never scratch or pick at the scabs!
Silky Stroke (Hair stroke) Brows
Silky Stroke is an advanced machine technique that creates ultra-fine, hair-like strokes that perfectly mimic real eyebrow hairs. Ideal for you who want fuller but completely natural brows. The treatment takes 150 minutes.
The result typically lasts 2–3 years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle and aftercare. We use exclusively certified pigments of the highest quality for your safety.
Arrive with clean skin without makeup on the brows. 24 hours before, you should avoid alcohol, caffeine as well as blood-thinning medication/painkillers. You must not pluck or wax the brows for at least 3 days before the appointment.
The treatment consists of 4 steps: an in-depth consultation with measuring (brow mapping), selection of the perfect pigment colour, application of local anaesthetic cream for maximum comfort, and finally the creation of the fine hair strokes with the machine.
Keep the brows clean and dry for the first few days and apply the recommended cream. Avoid swimming pool, sauna and hard training (heavy sweating) for 7–10 days. Never pick or scratch the healing skin, and remember to book a touch-up after 6–8 weeks to fix the colour.
Velvet Lips
Velvet Lips is an advanced permanent makeup technique that gives your lips a beautiful, soft colour and a perfect shape that stays natural and fresh every day. The procedure itself takes 120 minutes.
The first time you get a PMU treatment, much of the colour can disappear when the excess colour flakes off. Guaranteed results are only achieved after a touch-up. We recommend a refill 25–40 days after the first treatment to ensure the most beautiful and long-lasting result.
Yes, but if you have had the herpes virus, it is strongly recommended that you buy prescription medication (e.g. Aciclovir). The medication should be taken one day before the treatment and continued for four days afterwards to minimise the risk of an outbreak. In the event of an active outbreak, it must be completely healed, and a further one week must pass before you can receive the treatment.
It is important that you arrive with well-hydrated and moisturised lips (care for them well with lip balm leading up to your appointment). Avoid sunbathing and tanning beds 2 weeks before, and avoid blood-thinning medication or painkillers 2 days before (TREO is fine, however). If you have old permanent makeup on your lips, please send me a photo before booking.
Healing takes about 1 week. Gently clean the lips with chlorhexidine 0.05% and apply the recommended cream or Vaseline 4–6 times daily for 4 days. Avoid makeup, soap, and do not scratch or pick at the area. Avoid swimming pool, sauna and tanning beds for 8–10 days, as well as sports and hard training for 3–7 days.
Lash enhancement / Eyeliner
Lash enhancement is a permanent makeup technique where a fine pigmentation is placed right in between your own lashes. This creates the illusion of denser, darker lashes and gives a beautiful, natural lift as well as extra definition to your eyes. The treatment takes 75 minutes.
No, you must not wear lash extensions for the treatment, and you should avoid new lashes or a lash lift for a minimum of 10 days afterwards. If you wear contact lenses, you must take them out before the treatment (please bring your glasses).
You must not take blood-thinning medication, antibiotics or painkillers 2 days before the treatment, as these have a blood-thinning effect. You cannot receive the treatment if you are pregnant/breastfeeding (the first 3 months), have taken vitamin A/tetracycline in the last six months, have epilepsy, form keloid scars, or have herpes/eczema/psoriasis in the area.
The area must be kept completely dry for the first 48 hours (and generally as dry as possible for 5–7 days). Do not apply makeup, soap or the like to the eyes until around the 8th–10th day after the treatment. Avoid swimming pool, sauna, tanning beds and sports for 8–10 days, and under no circumstances may you scratch, rub or pick at the healing skin.
Yes. The first time you get a treatment, much of the colour can disappear when the excess colour comes off during healing. Guaranteed results are only achieved after a refill has been done to ensure the final and perfect result.
Tattoo removal
Brow removal (laser)
The treatment is quick and takes about 30 minutes. Right after the procedure, it is completely normal for the brow hairs to turn temporarily white and for loose pigment to appear. Don't worry – the hair's natural colour returns within 2–3 days!
Yes, the treatment can be felt, but the actual laser time is extremely short – it typically takes only 30 seconds per brow. In addition, there is always the option of applying anaesthetic or cooling the brows with a special cooler for maximum comfort.
You should avoid direct sun for 2–3 weeks before the treatment (using SPF is perfectly fine). The big plus is that you can already use a brow pencil 24 hours after the treatment! You will receive all the aftercare creams you need directly from me after the session.
To ensure perfect and safe healing, you must follow these guidelines after your treatment:
- Avoid direct sun for 2 weeks.
- Avoid sauna and tanning beds for 2 weeks.
- Avoid swimming pool for 7 days.
It is difficult to say precisely in advance, as it depends on skin type, pigment type and depth. However, the result and the further course will become much clearer and more evident already after the 1st session.
Tattoo removal (laser)
Whether it is small or medium-sized tattoos, the session itself in the clinic takes about 30 minutes. The course is always tailored individually.
You CANNOT receive the laser treatment if you have heart disease, epilepsy, liver dysfunction, unregulated diabetes, inflammation/an inflammatory condition in the body, or suffer from skin diseases (including skin cancer) in the area to be treated. The treatment is furthermore not offered to persons under 18 years of age or to pregnant women.
No, a brand-new tattoo must be at least 1–2 months old before we can start a laser treatment. If you are undergoing medical treatment for acne (vitamin A), at least 6 months must pass from the end of the course of pills before you may receive laser. You must also not take photosensitive medication.
You must not have sunbathed (or used a tanning bed) within the last month before your appointment. In addition, there must be no tendency to or existing keloid scars (where the scar bulges strongly) in the specific treatment area.
Brow treatments
Brow Lamination
Brow lamination is a popular treatment that shapes, lifts and makes your brows visually fuller by setting the brow hairs in a uniform and desired direction. It is perfect for you who want more symmetrical and defined brows. The treatment takes 60 minutes.
It is important for the chemistry of the treatment that you arrive at your appointment without any form of makeup on the brows.
The first 24 hours are crucial for the brows' new shape. You must protect them by:
- Avoiding water, steam and makeup directly on the brows.
- Not touching, rubbing or brushing the brows at all during the first 24 hours.
The result and the shape typically last for up to 4–6 weeks. After the first 24 hours, it is recommended to use a good brow serum or special oil daily to care for, nourish and moisturise the brow hairs.
Brow Shape & Tint
This is a classic and effective brow styling where your brows are shaped precisely with wax or tweezers and then tinted. The treatment is tailored to enhance your unique facial features so the brows look more defined and well-groomed. The treatment takes 45 minutes.
Yes, please arrive for your brow treatment without makeup on the brows.
To ensure the durability of the colour and protect the skin after hair removal, you should:
- Avoid water and makeup directly on the brows for at least 12–24 hours.
- Avoid harsh peels, facial scrubs and acidic products around the brow area for a couple of days.
The colour typically lasts up to 3–4 weeks, while the shape itself (after wax/tweezers) lasts up to 4–5 weeks. You may benefit from using a good care oil at home to maintain the intensity of the colour for longer.
Lash Lift
A Lash Lift is a gentle treatment that lifts and curls your own natural lashes so they look noticeably longer and more defined – completely without the use of eyelash extensions. The treatment itself takes 60 minutes.
To ensure the absolute best result during the treatment, please arrive at the clinic completely without eye makeup.
For the lift to set correctly, you must follow these guidelines during the first 24 hours:
- Avoid water, steam and makeup directly around the eyes.
- Avoid sauna, steam baths and very intense training.
The result of a Lash Lift typically lasts up to 6–8 weeks. We recommend that, after the first 24 hours, you use a nourishing lash serum daily to strengthen the lashes and ensure a beautiful, long-lasting result.
Mini Tattoo
A mini tattoo is a delicate tattoo in a small size (we make both up to 5 cm and between 5–10 cm), carried out with a special machine using sterile single-use needles and safe pigments. The procedure itself lasts about 1–1.5 hours (including placement and preparation).
The treatment takes place under sterile conditions and is divided into four fixed steps:
- In-depth consultation and final choice of design.
- Professional preparation of the skin and precise outlining.
- Application of soothing cream and thorough instruction in aftercare.
- Safe execution of the tattoo.
The pain during this type of treatment is minimal. As the needles are extremely fine, the process feels most of all like a light, mild scratching on the skin.
Aftercare is crucial for the tattoo to heal nicely and retain its sharpness:
- Keep the protective film on for the first 3–4 hours.
- Then gently wash the area with an antiseptic soap and pat completely dry with a clean paper towel (without rubbing).
- Apply a thin layer of healing ointment (e.g. Bepanthen or Aquaphor) 2–3 times daily for a week.
- Never pick or scratch at small scabs or skin flakes – they must fall off on their own!
A full healing of the skin typically takes between 2–4 weeks. During the first 2–3 weeks of the healing period, you must strictly avoid swimming pool, sauna, tanning beds, direct sun and salt water. If a small correction (touch-up) should be needed, this can be carried out after 1–2 months.
