A mini tattoo is a delicate tattoo in a small size (we make both up to 5 cm and between 5–10 cm), carried out with a special machine using sterile single-use needles and safe pigments. The procedure itself lasts about 1–1.5 hours (including placement and preparation).
The treatment takes place under sterile conditions and is divided into four fixed steps:
- In-depth consultation and final choice of design.
- Professional preparation of the skin and precise outlining.
- Application of soothing cream and thorough instruction in aftercare.
- Safe execution of the tattoo.
The pain during this type of treatment is minimal. As the needles are extremely fine, the process feels most of all like a light, mild scratching on the skin.
Aftercare is crucial for the tattoo to heal nicely and retain its sharpness:
- Keep the protective film on for the first 3–4 hours.
- Then gently wash the area with an antiseptic soap and pat completely dry with a clean paper towel (without rubbing).
- Apply a thin layer of healing ointment (e.g. Bepanthen or Aquaphor) 2–3 times daily for a week.
- Never pick or scratch at small scabs or skin flakes – they must fall off on their own!
A full healing of the skin typically takes between 2–4 weeks. During the first 2–3 weeks of the healing period, you must strictly avoid swimming pool, sauna, tanning beds, direct sun and salt water. If a small correction (touch-up) should be needed, this can be carried out after 1–2 months.
